This time next week I'll be getting ready to board a plane to my hometown in North Carolina. I only get to visit two or three times a year, so I'll probably be pretty excited. But I'm also an anxious, nauseous flyer so I'll probably be anxious and nauseous too!
In the meantime, I want to share the beauty products I'm bringing. Today I just want to share the hair and skincare, and later on this week I'll share my travel makeup bag.
Dry Shampoo // Acure Organics
I've been using this dry shampoo for around two years, I think. It's an every day staple for me. The ingredients are very natural and effective, as per usual with Acure.
Not only does this absorb the excess oil, but it gives my hair so much volume and texture, making it my favourite all in one hair product.
Shampoo* // Rahua
I've never tried this, but I've heard great things from Rahua! Based in NYC, Rahua crafts luxury beauty with organic and natural ingredients. This gluten free shampoo features palo santo oil and quinoa to repair and strengthen your hair, along with extracts like rosemary, green tea, and raspberry.
Conditioner* // Rahua
Their matching conditioner features some of the same ingredients as their shampoo to help repair and hydrate your hair.
A really unique, interesting fun fact is that as part of their commitment to creating sustainable products, Rahua sources all of their oils through Amazonian tribes, taking a lot of care to ensure the environment is preserved.
Instant Lift & Firm Face Mask* // Andalou Naturals
Andalou just launched their Beauty 2 Go line, including these single use masks. The small size is great for traveling light, and the single use pod still has enough mask for you or even a friend!
This one has marula oil and french clay to smooth and soften your skin, even after a long flight!
Instant Brightening Face Mask* // Andalou Naturals
This mask is great for brightening your skin. It's got vitamin C to help brighten your skin tone, along with pumpkin to exfoliate, and manuka honey to clarify and balance.
Apricot Probiotic Cleansing Milk // Andalou Naturals
I'm in love with this cleanser. At first I only used it in the morning as a way to prep my skin for the rest of my products. But I've started using it at night too, and because I don't wear a lot of makeup, it works really well.
It's super gentle, it's calming and soothing, and it's a great way to easily remove light amounts of makeup, along with properly cleansing your skin.
Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist // Herbivore Botanicals
Herbivore Botanicals has crafted a luxury toner, with hydrating coconut water, soothing rose, and exfoliating hibiscus flower. It's an easy way to pamper my skin while prepping it for my serum.
Sensitive Skin Booster Serum // Odacite
I've wanted to try Odacite every since I first laid eyes on their packaging. I love the small size and the minimal design.
My skin is very sensitive, and was actually going through a little sensitive time when I started using this. It took a long time to work, but after a few weeks of use I've finally noticed a difference. My skin is a lot clearer, more calm, and less red. I'm looking forward to seeing how it'll handle my sensitive skin while traveling!
Pomegranate Antioxidant Hydration SPF 20 // 100% Pure (Not Available Online)
I bought this at a beauty shop here because the SPF I was using was irritating my skin. While this one isn't irritating, it's also not my favourite.
It's got a very thin texture that's a little messy, and it's very hard to work into the skin. It leaves a white layer that has to take it's time to sink in.
But it's very hydrating, it's packed with antioxidants, and it protects my skin, so I'm pleased.
Super Fruits Reparative Cream // 100% Pure (Discontinued)
Traveling is a great time to use samples, so I'm taking full advantage. This one looks like a really nourishing cream that I'll use at night. It's packed with antioxidants and vitamins to nourish and work against signs of aging.
Organic Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream // 100% Pure
This is an every day essential for me. It's nourishing, hydrating, and soothing. It's easy to apply, gentle on the eye area, and it smells like cookies. What's not to love?
