The Summer Beauty Products You Need to Try
I haven't done a favourites in a really long time, so today's the day! I'm sharing the beauty bits I've been loving lately. Coincidentally, they're all great for hot, Summer weather, but I'll probably still use them when the temperatures drop.
This is one of the simplest skincare rituals. Made with cooling jade, this tool can reduce puffiness, wrinkles, and congestion. It also improves circulation which is important for clear skin. Oh, and the cooling stone and gentle massage is so nice when you have a headache.
Exfoliating is one of my favourite skincare steps because you can see the benefits right away. You're always left with clearer, softer skin. This one is my weekly go to because it's very fine so it's not abrasive, even for sensitive skin. I use this once, maybe twice a week, but it is gentle enough to use as often as you'd like.
While I've had acne forever, I've never used an effective spot treatment until now. Instead of drying out your skin and causing more irritation, the creamy stick reduces inflammation, soothes, and hydrates your skin. Depending on the blemish I only need three or four days of use before my skin is back to normal.
Just remember that turmeric will stain fabric so I don't recommend using overnight. I've found the best way to remove the cream is to use a cotton pad with a couple sprays of toner, taking care to be gentle and not pull at your skin.
Sunscreen is important year round, but we should be extra careful during the Summer when we're enjoying the warmer weather. I've used this cream for over a year and I'm still in love.
This is effective at protecting my skin from the sun without clogging my pores when I get a little sweaty. It can create a little bit of a white cast, but I've found this is reduced when I use a hydrating toner and creamy serum before application.
It's no secret that I love the MMT Cocoa Skin Cream, but I'm pleasantly surprised to say I really love this one too. I've been using it as a face cream and I think my skin likes this one more. It's a rich, hydrating cream that's wonderful even in the Summer heat.
I think it's been an important part of helping my skin heal from acne and scars because each day I wake up with better and better skin, even though the Summer is the worst time for my skin.
You can also use this as a cleansing balm or makeup remover. I can't recommend it enough!
I bought this deodorant stick because of the compostable packaging, but it turns out the formula is really great too! Meow Meow Tweet is known for their effective, all natural, and vegan deodorants so I'm glad I'm finally hoping on the bandwagon.
The creamy formula is gentle on my sensitive skin, the scent is light and not overwhelming, and the deodorant works really well to neutralize bacteria and prevent body odor. It's a win win! And if you aren't a fan of baking soda in your deodorant, they just launched a baking soda free option.
I'm really picky with my body moisturizers as I want them to be nourishing, hydrating, and soothing, without being too heavy. This ticks all of the boxes. With a unique texture that's in between a balm and a gel, it sinks in quickly to nourish your skin without leaving a heavy feeling. This is also unscented, so it's great for sensitive skin and for fragrance sensitive people!
