Skincare is my jam. It's the reason I ever found myself interested in beauty products. If it's your thing too, then you may already have your skincare routine down. But if skincare isn't your thing, don't worry, I've got you covered.

My skin is very sensitive and quite dry. It's also problematic from time to time, so there's a lot going on. I've managed to develop a routine that's a bit lengthy, but it works wonderfully for my skin.

If you've got a different skin type, don't worry, you can still take something away from my routine. While the actual products may not target your skin type, you can still get a hold of a basic routine and what products to look for. You'll also notice most of these brands offer products for different skin types. They're all amazing, so I'd recommend almost anything from their line ups.

Let's get started!

Facial Cleansing Creme // Acure Organics

This is a heavenly cleanser that's wonderful first thing in the morning. The creamy texture and natural scent are so comforting. I love how gentle this is; it effectively cleanses my skin without drying it out.

Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist // Herbivore Botanicals

This is new to me but so far I'm in love. The simple glass packaging is a welcome change, along with the really nice spray head that actually sprays my whole face. This is a blend of coconut water and witch hazel so it's perfect for hydrating skin and reducing inflammation. The rose is hydrating and soothing so it's perfect for this time of year.

Willow Bark Pure Pore Serum // Andalou Naturals

Normally I'd be using a hydrating serum around this time of year. But my skin was getting really problematic, and my acne scars were super visible. This has helped to reduce inflammation, making my scars less noticeable. I haven't noticed any new spots either, which is such a relief! While I haven't noticed any dramatic changes in pore size, I swear the pores on my nose look a tiny bit smaller. This ticks all of the boxes for me.

If you have very dry skin, I highly recommend a hydrating serum such as the MyChelle Ultra Hydrating Hyaluronic Serum. If you have both problematic and dry skin, you can always mix the two to create a custom serum just for you!

Rosehip Oil Moisturizing Serum // Cocoon Apothecary

I have a few mixed feelings about this. First, it's 100% rosehip oil so it's more of a facial oil than a serum. Second, this was wonderfully hydrating, soothing, and repairing before the temperature dropped below zero. But now it's just not holding up. I'm going to switch to argan oil because that's always worked wonderfully for me.

So the take away is while I adored this facial oil during the Fall and early Winter, if you have dry skin and live in a very cold environment, this may not do the job. But if you don't have dry skin, or live in a warmer climate, this is perfect. It's hydrating, soothing, and worked to repair my acne scars.

Green Tea Oil Free Hydration SPF 30 // 100% Pure (Discontinued)

I've been using the 100% Pure Argan Oil Facial Moisturizer SPF 30 forever. When I needed a new SPF, my usual was out of stock, so I opted for this instead. It's lovely, but it's not the same. It's got a very light texture so it's great if you want to pair it with a day cream. But if you want an all in one, I highly recommend their other sun protection cream.

Organic Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream // 100% Pure

This is my holy grail, all time favourite eye cream. It's light but super nourishing. While it doesn't battle dark circles, it works so well to combat dehydration. It's made my under eye concealer go on so much smoother and it's helped to add a little soothed, hydrated glow to my skin.

While this is a bit of a different skincare routine because I'm not totally in love with everything, I hope it helped you to find some insight into the world of skincare! If you have any favourite skincare products, or products you want to try, please let me know in the comments!

Until next time,

Sarah
