Herbivore Botanicals is known for formulating simple, effective, and indulgent skincare and body products, and their soaking salts are no exception.
- Pacific Sea Salt
- Cambrian Blue Clay
- Eucalyptus Essential Oil
- Lavender Essential Oil
Scent - While these salts have a strong eucalyptus scent, it isn't overpowering once it's been added to the bath.
Efficacy - Thanks to the invigorating eucalyptus and detoxifying clay, these salts leave me feeling grounded and revived, like the day was just washed away and I'm ready for the best night's sleep.
- Pacific Sea Salt
- Himalayan Pink salt
- Ylang Ylang Essential Oil
- Vanilla Extract
- French Pink Clay
Scent - These salts have a more subtle scent than the Detox ones, but it's still really nice. The ylang ylang is uplifting, and the vanilla adds just a hint of sweetness.
Efficacy - I reach for the Calm salts when I need to feel renewed, and I reach for these when I need to quiet my mind and just feel relaxed. And it totally works. Maybe it's the himalayan salts, maybe it's the scent, and maybe it's the clay, but these salts are really great for just helping me unwind and feel at ease.
- Baking Soda
- Dehydrated Vegan Coconut Milk
- Coconut Pulp CO2
- Vanilla Absolute
Scent - I really do love all of these scents, but this one is my favourite. It's not sickly sweet, like some vanilla products can be, but it's just the right combination of fresh coconut and sweet vanilla. I honestly can't get enough of it, and as I'm writing this review I keep opening the jar to get a whiff!
Efficacy - I feel like hot baths are inherently going to dry out your skin, especially if you have them as hot as I do. But when you add moisturizing products, like this bath soak, you get the best of both worlds - a really hot, relaxing bath, and soft and smooth skin.
The Herbivore Botanicals Soaking Salts Overview
Sustainability - While I love that Herbivore uses beautiful, reusable glass packaging, I do wish they'd look into using more organic ingredients, as that would really help improve the sustainability of their products!
Now I know Summer is almost around the corner, so I just wanted to note that even if you're not feeling a bath, you can use these in the shower too! By sprinkling them onto the bottom of the shower you can enjoy the intoxicating scents while giving your feet a little massage!
