Cocoon Apothecary Touchy Feely Collection Review
Last month I reviewed the Cocoon Apothecary Kahuna Collection, and now I'm excited to share their Touchy Feely Collection. With rosemary and lavender essential oils, this is a relaxing, herbal collection that's ideal for the colder months when you just want to chill and get cozy.
Let's talk ingredients - this lotion is made with just twelve ingredients, which isn't that many considering a lot of lotions contain over twenty. A few of these ingredients are organic, like organic olive oil and essential oils. I think the olive oil is why I love these lotions so much. Olive oil is amazing for your skin. It's a plant based oil rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and of course it's very soothing and moisturizing. I used to use it as a shaving oil, but now I use it in body scrubs and as a body oil, makeup remover, and face oil.
Here's some quick facts about this lotion:
- pH level of 5 (our skin is 5.5)
- EWG rating of 1
- Cruelty Free
- Gluten Free
All in all, I really love these body lotion formulas - they're not too watery, nor too thick. They're literally perfect, and the rosemary and lavender oils are such a good combination. They're so grounding and soothing, which is so great for this time of year.
I talked about this in my Kahuna Collection Review - good bubble baths are hard to come by. A lot contain ingredients that can irritate our skin, so I've avoided them for most of my life. But I really love this one.
Made with five ingredients - coco glucoside, water, glycerin, and organic essential oils, this doesn't contain harsh ingredients. It's simply coconut based soap, and oils! Just like the lotion, this has a pH level of 5, and an EWG rating of 1. It's also vegan, cruelty free, biodegradable, and gluten free, so you can enjoy your bath without worrying about labels or ingredients!
Bonus: This is good for all ages, which means it's safe for your little ones.
I love matching scented products - it makes me feel like I have my life together. I like to start a bath with some dry brushing to increase circulation, and then I'll put two capfuls of bubble bath in the tub, along with a handful of epsom salts to reduce muscle tension.
After an hour or so (I usually read, but I used to exclusively watch Netflix in the bath) then I'll get out and apply the Touchy Feely Body Lotion all over.
Then I'll make a cup of chamomile tea, do my skincare rituals, and then go to bed! It's such a nice way to end the day, especially when it's cold and gray outside. The bath is warming, and the lotion keeps my skin soft despite the colder temperatures!
