Cocokind Raspberry Vinegar Toner Review
Cocokind Raspberry Vinegar Toner Review

You all know I adore Cocokind and every single one of their products (that I’ve tried). I’m always a little behind reviewing them (they are in another country after all) but that doesn’t mean the hype goes away.

When they launched their Raspberry Vinegar Toner, the hype was real. This is such a unique product - who even heard of raspberry vinegar before this launch, let alone as a skincare ingredient? Not me, that’s for sure.

After months of lusting, I finally picked this up in NYC and I’m so glad I did. As someone with very sensitive, dry, and acne prone skin (especially cystic acne), this toner is a dream.

I don’t use it as an everyday, all over toner. Instead I use it as a treatment when my acne is flaring up. Or…if I’m honest with you…after I’ve popped a zit. Which I know is bad and you’re not supposed to, but if you’re going to, at least apply this toner after to speed up healing!

Cocokind Raspberry Vinegar Toner Review

This toner is…

  • Vegan

  • Cruelty Free

  • Made with literally two ingredients (!!!)

Made with…

  • Water

  • Raspberry Vinegar

That’s it! Now this is a toner so it’s meant to balance your skin’s pH. Because it’s primarily vinegar this leans towards the acidic side on the pH scale, which is one of the reasons I don’t use it all day every day. But when your skin is breaking out, it’s out of balance, and this toner is formulated to help bring things back in sync.

Another note: this is vinegar. If you get it in your eyes, it will burn. Learn from my mistake and instead of spraying on the skin like a facial mist, spray onto a (reusable) cotton pad and sweep across the face. But if you do get it in your eyes, just rinse with water, you’ll be okay.

Scent - As you might expect, this has a fruity, sweet, vinegar scent. It’s not overpowering and it doesn’t linger too long.

Efficacy - The first thing I want to communicate is that this is not drying. I have dry skin and I was nervous this would dry it out and make things worse but it totally doesn’t. However, it’s also not necessarily hydrating, especially if you have dry skin. I always layer it under my usual toner so I get lots of hydration.

That being said, I still adore this toner / treatment. It’s helped to speed up my skin’s recovery from breakouts, it reduces redness and irritation, and it’s just a beautiful product that I really enjoy using.

Sustainability - This is packaged in a beautiful glass bottle (that I can’t wait to reuse) so there’s really nothing to add! The only way to make this more sustainable would be to use organic raspberry vinegar, but I’m not even sure if that’s a thing!
