We all know I love a good bath. But a bath is only as good as the healing, nourishing products you use. And I want to share a brand that's new to me, but that I've quickly fallen in love with - Captain Blankenship

Today I want to share two of their bath salts with you - the Rusalka Forest Bath Salts and the Sky Dancer Calming Bath Salts. But first, let's talk about the brand since I've never mentioned them on the blog before!

A woman owned company, the mantra at Captain Blankenship is 'beauty wild with nature' and I love that. They focus on using organic, wildcrafted ingredients to formulate natural, healthy personal care products, and they use recyclable and environmentally friendly packaging wherever possible! And they use lots of ingredients from the ocean - salts, seaweed, marine clay, and more! I feel super connected to that part of their products - I was born and rasied by the sea and even though I live in a big city now, I find I'm always trying to find a connection to the ocean again.

Rusalka Forest Bath Salts.

Made with...

  • Sea Salt
  • Epsom Salt
  • Baking Soda
  • Glacial Marine Clay
  • Spruce Oil*
  • Pine Oil**
  • Palmarosa Oil*
  • Cypress Oil**
  • Eucalyptus Oil*
  • Vetiver Oil*

* = Certified Organic
** = Wildharvested

These smell like an eucalyptus infused forest, and it's become a favourite combination. The palmarosa, vetiver, spruce, and eucalyptus all work together to create a really yummy, heavenly scent, while the salts and clay heal tired and sore muscles and soften and soothe skin.

This is my go to blend for when I've had a long day, when I feel a bit stuffy, or when I need to relax and refresh. I use a couple cups of plain epsom salts, a handful of these, and five drops of eucalyptus oil to bring out that refreshing, cleansing scent.

Sky Dancer Calming Bath Salts.

  • Sea Salt
  • Epsom Salt
  • Baking Soda
  • Glacial Marine Clay
  • Lavender Oil*
  • Tangerine Oil*
  • Palmarosa Oil*

* = Certified Organic

When you want something a little more soothing, but uplifting, go for this blend. The lavender, tangerine, and palmarosa oils are both relaxing and uplifting, which is ideal when you're feeling out of sorts. And these salts have the same blend of healing salts and clay as the Rusalka salts, so all you're deciding between is the scents!

I use these just like the Rusalka salts, except instead of eucalyptus essential oil I'll use lavender or palmarosa, whichever one I'm feeling more!

I really love both of these bath salts - they make my baths extra special, with healing salts and beautiful scents that make me feel grounded, relaxed, and rejuvenated. And now I'm excited to try more from the brand! What are your favourite Captain Blankenship products?

With love,

Sarah
