Hi. I'm Sarah!

Andalou Naturals GMO Free Brand Review

Andalou Naturals was the first natural brand I discovered. Andalou carries skin care, hair care, body care, and more, making them one of the few natural brands that caters to every part of your beauty routine.

I love their toners, and their lotions are my favourite. All of their products are affordable and easy to find at Whole Foods, Superstore, Winners, and health shops.

As a brand, Andalou is passionate about quality ingredients, like their Fruit Stem Cell Science, and taking care of the environment. They use natural and fair trade ingredients, along with abstaining from GMOS. Plus, their products contain a "minimum of 70% organic content" (Andalou) to make you feel good about what you're putting on your skin.

1000 Roses Rosewater Mask

This is a gentle face mask to help soothe sensitive skin. Plus, the whole line makes my skin super glowy.

All of the products in the 1000 Roses line have a Skin Soothing Complex that helps to reduce inflammation with ingredients like Hyaluronic acid and Magnolia bark.

After cleansing, I apply this in a really thick layer, leave for ten minutes, and then wipe off with a warm cloth. It's really easy to remove, and it takes only ten minutes, so it's a good option when you're in a rush.

Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask

Though this isn't suitable for vegans because of the honey, it is perfect for those looking for natural skin care.

It's a good mask for the colder months, because of the brightening and exfoliating properties of the pumpkin and vitamin C.

The honey helps to soothe your skin, while clarifying, and the glycolic acid is great at getting rid of dead skin. Plus, the pumpkin and spices smell amazing, which is always a bonus.

Kombucha Enzyme Exfoliating Peel

This is the perfect thing for people with sensitive skin. It is in the clarifying line up, but my sensitive skin isn't bothered at all.

The thing is, scrubs are really hard on sensitive skin, so facial scrubs are out of the question, and even some masks are too rough.

But this is a really gentle peel that takes ten minutes to use. It's easily removed without pulling on your skin. I use this once a week, all year long, and it helps to exfoliate my skin without causing problems.

Toners

I have used both the Blossom + Leaf Toning Refresher, and the 1000 Roses Floral Toner, and I love them both. Andalou is really good at making high quality, but affordable toners that can help solve your skin's problems.

Both of these are good for dry and sensitive skins, so it kind of depends on your personal taste. I love both of them, they smell amazing, are refreshing, and effective. But, I personally like the Blossom + Leaf for the colder months, and the 1000 Roses for the warmer months.

Turmeric + C Enlighten Serum

I really love Vitamin C serums, and I try to have one on hand at all times.

They can be expensive, so if you're looking for an affordable Vitamin C serum, this is it. Vitamin C helps with brightness, and the turmeric helps with circulation, and may even help with acne scars. There is also hyaluronic acid for hydration, and Sea Buckthorn Oil for cellular turn over.

1000 Roses Beautiful Day Cream & Heavenly Night Cream

This is the first Andalou Naturals moisturizer I've used, but now I want to try more. I feel like these are really great for the Spring and Summer, because they aren't super rich or heavy.

I've also been using the Daily Shade Facial Lotion SPF 18 and it's perfection. It's hydrating without being greasy, and I get just enough sun protein from the SPF. It's also really affordable, which is rare for a natural SPF cream.

Blemish Vanishing Gel

Okay so I had high hopes for this, but it doesn't really do much. It has all of the right ingredients to fight acne, but it just doesn't seem to do the trick.

My spots seem to get smaller at first, and then a day or two later they're even bigger than before. If I were you, I'd just leave your spots alone, and let them do their own thing, because the last thing you want to do is make them worse.

Shampoo

I have fine hair, but a lot of it. So getting volume is kind of hard, and it's a little bit of work. Even my short hair requires some volume, and this is just the thing I need.

This doesn't give you tons and tons of volume, but just a little boost to help you out. It makes my hair care routine a lot easier, and my hair looks a lot better when I'm using it. Plus, this has Biotin, which helps keep your hair strong, and helps with new hair growth.

Body Lotion

I have never been as excited about body lotions as I am about these. I actually used to hate body lotions, because I found they were too watery, and weren't hydrating enough.

With dry skin, and living in Canada, I need all the moisture. But these are perfection.

They come in all different scents, two of which I've tried and two of which I love, and they're hydrating, they sink in quickly, and my skin feels soft hours and hours later. A+ body lotion.

A Path of Light Hand Creams

These are fantastic. I love all of the scents, and though the formulas vary a little, they're all similar. They are very hydrating, but aren't greasy or oily. They're also really affordable, so they're my go to.

Are you a fan of Andalou Naturals?

Until next time,

Sarah
