Hi. I'm Sarah!

Welcome to Simple and Sustainable, the blog for all things green beauty!

A Subtle Smokey Eye Makeup Look

I wanted to share a new FOTD with you! Using my new, favourite Mineral Fusion palette, I did a subtle smoky eye without eye liner. I paired it with a berry lip that I'm obsessed with!

Fruit Pigmented Tinted Moisturizer in Creme // 100% Pure

This is a light weight, medium coverage cream. It offers hydration, sun protection, and just the right amount of coverage! I apply with a buffing brush.

Fruit Pigmented Brightening Concealer in Creme // 100% Pure

I love this concealer for red areas, blemishes, and under my eyes. It's brightening effect reduces redness and irritation, and it lasts pretty much all day long. I apply this with a buffing brush.

Fruit Pigmented Foundation Powder in Creme // 100% Pure

This powder is a dream to use. I love using a big fluffy brush to apply this all over my skin. It offers very light coverage, and when layered with other foundations it gives my skin a very matte, polished look.

Hydration Mist // Mineral Fusion

I have dry skin, so in the winter my makeup can get a bit patchy. This mist has completely taken care of that problem. After applying my base, I'll spray my face two to three times and let it sink in. This hydrates my skin just enough to get rid of the patchiness, but not enough to make my skin oily or anything.

Brow Wiz in Taupe // Anastasia Beverly Hills

This is my go to brow product. It's the perfect colour match for my brows. And the tiny tip of the pen is great for filling in every detail of my brows.

Exclusive Whole Foods Holiday Palette // Mineral Fusion

Unfortunatley this was a limited edition palette exclusive to Whole Foods in the States. I really hope Mineral Fusion will make more because it's such a dreamy palette. The colours are absolutely gorgeous, well pigmented, and they're so versatile.

I used one of the lightest shades as a base, before layering a glittery pink. I used the darkest shade, a deep brown, as an eyeliner. I blended with my finger to create a very subtle line. Then I used the lightest shade as a high lighter under my brows and in the corner of my eyes.

Vegan Lash Mascara // Earth Lab Cosmetics

I'm not a huge fan of this. I've been using it for a week, and there just isn't much to it. I'll probably continue using it until I find another mascara, but I don't really recommend this one.

Studio Blush in Mellow Mauve // e.l.f. Cosmetics

I love the elf blushes. The colours are beautiful, they're very affordable, and they have the perfect amount of pigmentation. Not too much, and not too little.

Radiant Shimmer Coconut Multiples // Pacifica Beauty

I use these coconut colours as highlighters and for subtle contouring. They're very light so they're perfect for a natural look.

Lipstick in Alluring // Mineral Fusion

The Mineral Fusion lipsticks are lovely. They're hydrating, long lasting, and the colours are beautiful. Plus they don't contain any nasty chemicals. This is my favourite shade, a light berry. I love using it in the Fall and Winter, but I'm determined to keep it in my makeup bag for Spring.

What do you think of this FOTD?

Until next time,

Sarah
