5 Top Essential Oils for Your Skincare Routine Part II

5 Top Essential Oils for Your Skincare Routine Part II.jpg

Last year I wrote about my top essential oils for skincare, and while I still 100% stand by those oils, I wanted to share another five that are amazing for your skin. These oils are a bit pricier than the first post, but they're totally worth it.

Frankincense

One of the well known essential oils for skincare, frankincense is a miracle worker. It's rejuvenating, moisturizing, and it has potent anti-aging effects.

Find It: Leaves of Trees Frankincense Argan Oil ($8-$104)

Palmarosa

Similar to rose, this essential oil is key for healing dry skin, eczema, and psoriasis. In my experience, it's also really great for sensitive skin.

Find It: Meow Meow Tweet Geranium Palmarosa Face Toner+ ($24)

Geranium

I am been obsessed with geranium. It's an astringent, it's anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and it improves circulation, which means not only is it great for all skin types, but it's great for keeping skin happy and healthy.

Find It: Wildcraft Geranium Orange Blossom Face Cream+ ($24)

Tea Tree

I can't believe I didn't include this in my first blog post. Tea tree is one of the staple essential oils for skincare. It has strong anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, which make it great for congested, acne prone skin. However, it's still gentle enough to heal eczema and psoriasis.

Find It: Herbblissful Tea Tree Tranquil Calming Cleanser* ($30)

Grapefruit

Citrus oils are great for skincare, but they can make your skin more sensitive to light, so it's best to keep these oils for your nightly routine.

That being said, while grapefruit is amazing for our bodies (it's uplifting, helps with depression, and can help detox), it's also great for our skin. It has brightening properties, it's anti-inflammatory, it can balance oil production and therefore help to heal congestion and acne, and it has antimicrobial properties, which is great for irritated skin.

Find It: Wilderness Soap Co. Pink Grapefruit Soap ($9)

So there you go - another five essential oils to incorporate into your skincare routine. How do you use essential oils for skincare? Any favourites that I missed?

With love,

Sarah
