5 Tips to Heal Dry + Sensitive Skin

I love taking care of my skin. It's my favourite type of beauty.

My skin is pretty dry and very sensitive, so today I want to share five tips for dealing with it.

1. Look for All Kinds of Hydrating Products

Instead of just adding more moisturizer, look for hydrating products in all steps of your skincare routine. Opt for a moisturizing cleanser, and a hydrating toning mist. Look for serums to target moisture levels.

2. Look for Hyaluronic Acid

This is a unique ingredient that's going to help your skin absorb water, leaving it much softer, soothed, and more hydrated. It's also going to give your skin a little bit of a plump look, which is going to minimize wrinkles.

3. Facial Oils

Facial oils are really really great for hydrating and thoroughly nourishing your skin. Better than a simple moisturizer, these are often packed with antioxidants and nutrients to really hydrate your skin.

I really recommend the Leaves of Trees or Acure Organics argan oils.

4. Calming ingredients

To take care of sensitive skin, one of the easiest things to do is to look for calming ingredients. These include cucumber, chamomile, and rose. Look for skincare lines dedicated to sensitive skin, like Pai and Andalou's 1000 Roses line

5. Find your triggers

Everyone's skin is triggered by different things. Mine include heat, stress, and dehydration. When I experience those my skin is easily irritated.

Take some time to notice your skin and it's triggers. What foods are you eating, are you drinking enough water? Is there a specific product or ingredient that's irritating you?

If you need ideas, look at food, hydration, stress, temperature, ingredients in your skincare routine, and pollution levels.
